New Home: Seattle, WA!

New Home: Seattle, WA!

I recently moved from Southern California to Seattle, Washington, where I will be for the following several years as I finish my graduate work. While I will miss the California deserts, I'm excited to be in such a beautiful area home to rugged snowy mountains and coastlines in addition to spectacularly green temperate rainforests.

"Life Among Giants" recieved runner-up in 'Animals in their Environment', "Frozen Paradise" was highly commended in 'Wild Places', and "The Spring Explosion" was highly commended in 'In Praise of Plants'. (note my titles differ from the ones they used in the competition).

The BBC Wildlife Photographer of the Year Awards are considered among the most prestigious honors in nature photography. This year they recieved a record number of 43,000+ images from 94 countries. Needless to say I'm very excited to be considered among this incredible group of photographers. New Website!

New Website!

If you're a returning visitor, you probably already noted that this is a brand new website; if you're new, thanks for stopping by! Jack Brauer and Jesse Speer of WideRange Galleries did an absolutely fantastic job integrating my crazy ideas and vision into a functional and attractive design. It turned out better than I had imagined, thanks guys!

I want to thank all of my friends, family, fans, etc. for the support over the years, this site is for you... I hope you like it! Take some time to explore my newly organized galleries - I've designed it to be conducive to exploring in a nonlinear way. You can now place print orders online, in addition to ordering my 2010 calendar. Also new, I plan on offering a twilight photography workshop with Steve Sieren next Feb. There's still a few sections of the site that I need to work on, but since it's nearly all there I wanted to let it go live!
