It is in Southern California's nature to burn, and burn regularly. Unfortunately our fire policies over the past century have disrupted that natural pattern that comes near the end of summer, resulting in exceptionally devasting large scale burns that destory hundreds of thousands of acres. These burned trees were victims of the arson caused station fire near Los Angeles. (read blog entry)
