A splendid dawn casts reflected pink light on these frozen trees atop Drake Peak in Oregons Warner Range. While it may appear peaceful and pristine, these unfortunate trees spend 4-5 months of the year enduring relentless icy winds regularly reaching over 50 mph, which cake the trees full of rime ice.
