A Northern Harrier (Circus cyaneus) makes an attempt at catching a wild Ring-necked Pheasant (Phasianus colchicus) in California's Klamath National Wildlife Refuge. (The Pheasant survived, and the Harrier presumably did not have a delicious feast that Christmas eve).
