Tortured aspens along Bishop Creek in California writhe in pain as they anticipate winter's frost. In recent years Aspens all over the West Coast, particularly in Utah and Colorado, are falling prey to "Sudden Aspen Decline" (SAD). Lower elevation trees are particularly vulnerable - hot and dry weather (likely a result of climate change) being the primary concern. 

This is one that must be seen larger to appreciate - the best I can do over the web is provide the larger version (link below image).
