A collection of fluorescent minerals found on the tailings of Whitecap Mine in the Tungsten Hills near Bishop, California. I illuminated the rocks with a shortwave UV lamp to bring out the blues of the Scheelite, among other minerals. The white light extending into the sky is the Zodiacal light - sunlight reflected off of cosmic dust particles in the solar system seen only on clear moonless nights far from any light pollution.
